Tenisha’s Story

On May 20th, 2012 Nariah's father, Jasmin “Jazz” Rorie 23, was murdered at a party. It was a very horrific tragedy that flooded the town & social media quickly.

"How could something like this happen to me & my daughter, I thought." I always cried and (still do often times) about how my daughter would have to grow up without a Dad at an early age. My mind wouldn't let me rest for always thinking... How would she feel when she saw other girls with their Father, how she would grieve growing up and how was I (as her mother) going to help her through this.

God had a Plan

So after two years of getting use to our "NEW NORMAL", I thought of doing a Non-Profit Organization to help children HEAL. I thought it would be the perfect plan to help other children who are going through the same thing & be around other peers just like them to help them through the grieving process.

Senseless Gun Violence happens EVERYWHERE-EVERYDAY so this foundation was created to make a way for children who are affected by the loss of a Parent.  We create a better tomorrow & hope for a brighter future.
